「This place doesn’t look like photos on website at all, everything really old and cheap bathroom also need doing for the fact bed was uncleaned wen we complained, at reception they said they will come and short out,but no one turned up so we have to chase them again. As a family we have traveled a lot never experienced that bad. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.」

「The Sawmills was an absolute gem of a find along the coast path. Friendly staff, great food and a great night's sleep. Highly recommended - would definitely stay again!」

「Little bit old fashioned but all clean and well maintained the staff were brilliant, fast and attentive, I was only there for one evening but excellent place for a short stay.」

「Check in was easy, friendly staff, room decor was lovely, clean bedding. Parking was perfect and surroundings are beautiful. Had a beautiful breakfast too. Only negative was quite a few wood louse running round the bathroom, kept slippers on but may put you off if squeamish.」

「Room of reasonable size, quiet and pleasant view. Pub light meal good and Sea Shanty singers a bonus.Good position to enjoy Lynmouth and convenient for the excellent Cliff Railway to see Lynton. enjoyed the Norther Walk and the Valley of Rocks. Very friendly people - made to feel welcome, thank you.」

「Great breakfast and best dinner in Lynmouth - you need to book as it stands out with its great chef making what sounds like usual pub grub on the menu quite special. Although our room was above the main pub area it is still quiet early enough for a good night’s sleep. Some people struggled with the very old, small and steep steps in building so if you have mobility issues it might be worth asking for a room accessible from the outside. Lovely, big room with harbour view. A little awkward to...

「Room 18 2nd Floor..quirky lift to floor. Room had everything we needed. Went for a swim and relaxed in tye hot tub. Breakfast was fab. All staff were friendly, approachable and went out their way to ensure we had everything we needed to have an enoyable stay. We will be returning here when we next need a break.」
