"We were there for 4 nights. The staff made it one of the most memorable stays we had anywhere in the world (we both travel a lot globally for both pleasure and business). They were warm, friendly and showed a genuine interest in making us feel welcomed. We were on vacation, but we had packed lots of things into our schedule. Hotel staff was finding ways to help us enjoy our visit and somehow do everything we wanted to do. Special kudos to Kaveen (for greeting us every morning with a smile and checking on everything), Emaleen (for all the traditional SL sweets!) and everyone we met at Pavilion (too many names to remember).
Obviously it is one of the top hotels in Colombo so not surprisingly, the hotel is beautiful and rooms are fantastic with amazing views of Indian ocean and Colombo City. It is located at the best place for convenience and that is why we stayed there at the first place. Lot of space to meet up with friends and hang around as well. We wish we had a few more days to explore everything but I am sure Rathnadeepa will be our first choice in Colombo going forward. We visit SL regularly & have stayed at almost all the top hotels around Colombo, so we can say with confidence it will be hard to beat the hospitality and friendliness of staff at Rathnadeepa.
