Fantastic place. Wonderful rooms and the best host team we have ever experienced!

A truly magical setting with service to match. We’ve stayed in many New Zealand hotels, and this was the first where the staff seemed truly focused on exceeding guests’ expectations. What a great place to stay. It’s been overhauled in the last couple of years so everything is pretty new. Someone put a lot of thought into what to put into each unit. Very spacious. Very clean. Great staff!

The property was exceptional. Our room was lovely, clean, and well-appointed. Every aspect of the renovation was clearly well planned and thoughtfully executed. It was wonderful to have ample parking right out front. We only wish we could have stayed longer. After so many generic hotels on the South Island, it was a lovely treat to find this cozy gem. We hope to return—it’s a wonderful addition to this charming town.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The service and the lodging were excellent. The kitchen was very clean and had everything that could need. Thanks for a restful night.

Great base to explore Aoraki Mt Cook, Mary, the owner was friendly and gave good information about the area: Twizel, Mt Cook, she has a good taste of decor. Spacious room, mini fridge, guest lounge, self service complimentary breakfast, wide open space (located on the airfield, but no noise at night). this lodge has great view of mountains. I loved everything. I would stay again if I come back to this area.

Stayed for one night on a road trip through. It doesn't look like much but the room was great. Very spacious, had a fridge, kitchen, kettle, dining table, couch...and everything was spotless. Owners do a really nice job with the rooms.
