「What a superb gem of a hotel. Location is ideal for travelling with plenty of car parking. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide selection of continental and superbly cooked and varied hot options. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the meal was lovely. Originally booked one night travelling south and then decided to stay again a few nights later when travelling back. Will definitely be back.」

「I would definitely recommend this hotel. My wife and I stayed in an apartment, which had a large kitchen with all the amenities you would need. It had a hob, an oven, microwave and fridge, plus a toaster and even a caffatiere. The bedroom, living area and bathroom were a good size and really comfortablex the bar in the hotel had a great decking area with a great view over the river and down towards Teignmouth. We would definitely return,」

「If you get it for the right price, it can be great value for money. I do believe it’s going to be converted to apartments so, the bar is not well stocked and nothings been refurbished for a long time! Breakfast was decent and we found the room comfortable. It’s also in a great location.」

「Start off with the reception when we arrived, she wasn’t welcoming at all very rigid and unhelpful as she directed on two occasions to the wrong location (our room and the spa) The room was very dated and the bed was too small for two adults and the pillows very uncomfortable. As for the spa (we had booked a treatment) staff were also not welcoming, had to wait a long time to get seen . Could hear all noises from the outside during the treatment which wasn’t very pleasant. Staff in general...
