「Staff are nice and friendly. No restaurants was in walking distance. No tissue. Wifi connection was sometime weak.」

「Positives first - front desk staff was very nice, AC in room and shower were great. negatives - rooms and hallways very dark and dreary and had a constant musty smell. Room was damp the entire time we were there and tv service was absolutely horrible. "Basic Digital Cable" on an 8 year old tv is kinda crappy when you are in a hotel away from home for 3 days and can't even watch decent tv or a national ballgame. Site needs some serious upgrades. Also seriously overpriced due to the plant outage...

「They need to remove all of the trash from the outside. And get the cigarette smell from the rooms」

「Felt at home right away!」

「Such a comfy little place with everything in reach! Coffee on demand was clutch when we woke up early each morning.」

「The charm of this historic cottage cannot be denied, and the commitment to preservation is commendable. Melissa was responsive as a host. There was a lot of space around the cottage that made it feel private, and a small space fenced in for our dogs. 「Great place to stay with pets (including horses!). Beer, wine, coffee, snacks, and continental breakfast were a bonus and a big help since restaurants are about 10 miles away. Location was perfect for going to Darling Raceway.」

「The south at it’s very best. Beautiful, comfortable and welcoming. I only wish that we’d had longer to stay. David was very friendly and accommodating. I can’t recommend this beautiful home strongly enough. Stay here……you’ll love it.」

「Quick weekend getaway turned out fine, solid facilities made settling down simple here despite being busy nearby over summer season!」

「Little weekend getaway one hour from home for MX training. Beautiful pond with lots of fish and sassy beavers. Son and husband fished as much as time would allow. Pet-friendly is a plus for us. We plan on returning in the future.」

「We were in town for the 8u Diamond Youth Baseball State Tournament. John (and his parents) were/are AMAZING hosts. The boys had a check-in goodie basket and the most supportive, wonderful note of encouragement for the tournament. Not only is the property a super special place, pristinely clean, and a historical gem, but the communication, ease of the entire check-in/check-out process, and location are beyond description. John, Mary and Douglas are great, great folks and I hope to stay again...
