「Beautiful tea gardens, lovely property」

「Quintessential perfectly preserved beautiful British Raj hill station hotel Darjeeling full of historical artefacts at the end of the mall with some views. The staff were very attentive and helpful and served delicious meals in the dining room and I really enjoyed my stay of stepping back in time at this sanctuary of history in th hills away from the hustle and bustle of the town. 💖😎Dawn from Australia 」

The hot water in the shower was unstable, Cold water comes out even when the temperature is 5 degrees. The internet often drops out. There were many power outages. It's the worst...

「朝晩が冷え込むのですが、暖房設備は万全、寝る前にはベッドに湯たんぽまで準備、夜になるとミネラル水や紅茶をお部屋に届けてくれました。食事は朝晩ともにビュッフェスタイル、インド料理はどれも美味しいです。観光や空港のピックアップなどホテルから手配してくださるサービスは迅速で尚且つ親切、ホテルのドライバーさんもとても礼儀正しく安全運転でとても良かったです。」

「The hotel itself is attractive and well appointed Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Coffee/bakery is fantastic. The setting is in a congested section of the Darjeeling bazaar without on site parking making arrival and departure complicated. We enjoyed our stay. 」

「Really bad approach road coupled with a taxi mafia of very high fare. Bring your own car or avoid.」

「For one night stay was okay but encountered bugs in the room, which staff took care of it! Bathroom don’t have full covering door so water spills out in supposed to be dry area.」

「Mild Indian foods are good for Japanese also. Better to sell their own tea. Trip in beautiful tea garden was fantastic.」

「This was my first time at an Elgin heritage property and the charm and what makes it special are the small details. The monogrammed china and serving sets, the Tibetan and Sikkimese furniture and decorations. The property abounds with historic photos and artwork. But really what is truly special are the views. 」
