I can see through to the outside through both the front door and patio door. There is a pail of cigarette butts sitting on our patio. Every chair for outside sitting is either broken, peeling paint, or in disrepair. The room has one lamp and so half the room is dark. There are holes in the walls. "Very nice facility with clean rooms and a great bar/grill/pub attached. One drawback was it was quite noisy with multiple guests having multiple dogs. You could hear the running and playing in the room above us which is kind of expected in a facility of this age with wooden floors. This will not keep us from staying here again on our next visit to Maggie Valley."

"A Charming and Pleasant Stay! I had a very pleasant stay at this inn! Although the rooms are a little outdated, the property itself has so much charm and character. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, which made the experience even better. One of my favorite features was the beautiful creek behind the property, along with a lovely porch and a little swing chair where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Such a charming touch! The rooms were very clean and comfortable overall, but there are a few areas that could use improvement. The beds were a bit squeaky and could use replacing, although it didn’t bother me much since I was exhausted and fell asleep right away. The TVs could also use an upgrade to modern smart TVs that allow guests to access their streaming apps. The coffee maker was my only real disappointment. It was quite dusty on top, almost as if it hadn’t been used or cleaned in a long time. I also couldn’t figure out how to get it to work, so I ended up heating water in the microwave to make my coffee. Replacing the coffee makers would definitely be a worthwhile improvement. Despite these minor inconveniences, I truly enjoyed my stay. The charm of the property, the peaceful creekside setting, the cleanliness, and the wonderful hospitality more than made up for the outdated amenities. Overall, a lovely experience, and I would definitely recommend this inn to anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful, and charming place to sta"

"Place had 8.2 star which was a little high in my opinion for the type of place. There was a lot of “junk” around the front office that appeared renovations maybe were being done. The room was clean but definitely could use updating. Had to turn heater on and the smell was horrible. Could hear everything going on upstairs most of the night. There was a lot of young people hanging around outside a good bit of the evening. The staff was very pleasant checking in. Not sure I would stay there again though."
