「The customer service at the front desk was exceptional! He helped us navigate the busses and store our luggage after check out. The room itself was very nice and the bed was comfortable. We were able to do self check which was perfect because our flight did not land until almost 1am. The location was incredibly convenient - right across the street from the KTEL bus station to other cities and the bus to Knossos. 「The apartment was very clean with daily cleaning service. The area around had a bunch of shops and local cafes. The historical sites were at most a 10 min walk. There is a parking garage that is at most a 5 min walk and is next to a grocery store. I arrived earlier than planned and was able to get a room even though checkin was at 15. Highly recommend 」

We were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of wine for my Partner’s birthday which was a nice touch. The only feedback we would have is that there was no full length mirror - think it would be good to consider including in the rooms. Many thanks Julia and team at Portou House. 」

「Lovely old building, recently renovated right in the heart of the old town. This means transporting luggage a distance from the car but good communication re parking nearby. Inside the property, the duplex we were staying in meant climbing quite a lot of stairs with suitcases, although they did offer to help. Great that able to walk to restaurants and historical places and quiet area.」

Restaurants are in walking distance. Wineries are close by. There is no parking at the hotel but only a few steps away at the upper street. Excellent and beautiful spot to stay! 」

「Do not stay if you want a good nights sleep, booked this hotel for one night due to a electrical power cut in the hotel we had booked for our holiday as we wasn’t a good night sleep with aircon Huge mistake you are on the noisiest strip in Crete, I’d say worse than malia we ended up packing bags 4am after getting no sleep and going back to our all inclusive hotel. Would not recommend rooms are clean but that is the only good thing Rooms are boilin, full building is and you only get one key...
