"Pictures definitely didn't do this place justice, when walking in you feel at home, very welcoming. My sisters and I, came down for a sistercation, something we do every year, we each take turns planning the trips, so we all get to know each sister and what they like to do, a way for us to stay connected. This year was mine, one wanted something adventurous, so I picked this, Crater of Diamonds. Playing in the dirt, something I did as a kid. Even though it was extremely hot, we still all had fun playing in the dirt. Our hosts already had everything together for the Crater of Diamonds. I would recommend bringing a cart and depending on when you go, drink plenty water even though you may not be thirsty. The house, felt so open even though it was separated, I loved that there was a kid section in the lower level with a TV and movies with a pull out futon, up one level 2 beds, pull out bed underneath, a full bathroom (tub). One step up, you have the kitchen plenty of space to work and move around with other people in there. The carport entrance, beautiful with a bathroom (shower) off to the right, that leads to the living room, full couch, rocking chair love seat, TV and movies, then the queen bedroom, with a TV in there as well. The decor was do e so nicely everything flowed together beautifully! We enjoyed ours tremendously! There's off street parking for 2 vehicles. We'd come back again!"

"Our family had a wonderful weekend at the Dry Bean Retreat. The cabin is absolutely beautiful. It is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We all enjoyed floating in the river, hanging out on the enormous deck under the fans, and grilling. The owner put a lot of thought into building the cabin. It is spacious with very comfortable furnishings, fans, and beautiful lighting. We are looking forward to staying at The Dry Bean again,Kathie Rehkopf"
"When you visit a small town and it doesn’t have any large chain hotels, you book a motel. We loved this precious property! I loved pulling up and parking in front of our door, it was the memories of my childhood. The room was clean and the air conditioner was ice cold! The young man that checked us in was so sweet and helpful. There was a beautiful, clear blue swimming pool. And, call me sentimental, but I love the way they had their ice machine and coke machine at the back of the pool. Every thing brought back wonderful memories of days long ago. This was the best motel, I will go back to Murfreesboro just to stay at The Yellow Diamond!"

Crater of Diamonds, Murfreesboro, Trout Fishing, Float Trip, near Lake Greeson
10/10 Excellent
"The house was very hot when we arrived, and took a few hours to cool down. I would suggest bringing temps down indoors before guest arrive since it’s a smart thermostat… especially in extreme heat. There were some webs and bugs inside, but no big deal to us. The house was beautiful, no TVs in bedrooms, no big deal for us, the games are all missing pieces here and there, but we improvised and appreciated them. Having the remotes Velcro’s to the walls and the lights and switches labeled was great! The home had great stock in dishes and linens which we loved. It also had basic salt and pepper and oil etc- which was nice. We had a blast and would 100% recommend this home to friends and family."
Secluded Riverfront Cabin 5 acres on Little Missouri River
10/10 Excellent
"It is a lovely property and is very well cared for. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces invite you to relax. Perfect for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Our grandkids were amazed by the fairy garden, wildlife spotting, and opportunities to explore along the river. We were especially impressed with the detailed information provided and its accuracy. Scott (owner) called and texted to make sure we had all the information needed and were clear on the directions to the cabin. We spent three nights there. Our reason for choosing the area was to visit Crater of Diamonds State Park. We are some of the few but fortunate to find a pretty significant diamond. Within 30 minutes of our arrival at the park my husband was surface searching and spotted a glint. When uncovered it turned out to be a 2.29 nearly flawless yellow raw diamond. The park certified it (an exacting process) and recorded it. You may want to check out the upcoming park publications to read about it. We also enjoy exploring the shops in Murfreesboro. Everyone is so friendly."
