「I LOVED Carol. She was welcoming and kind, made an amazing breakfast for me, answered all my questions. A great hostess. My room (12) was super clean and the bed was comfortable. Lots of pillows and extra blankets. Nice big TV. The water pressure was really low but I think that’s typical in older buildings. The garden was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine. Great stay. Traveled from Canada.」

「We stayed at Woodhall hotel and spa for 4 nights in the lodges. There was not much natural light entering the room and noise can be heard from the adjoining room The building could do with some refurbishment The views and gardens are beautiful The staff were really excellent and nothing was too much trouble The food was equally good with some fabulous combinations and flavours and, they have an interesting wine list, if slightly on the pricey side. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you」

「Two bulbs were not working so clothes unit and te a are were in the dark.The bathroom rack was red rusty where the towels were placed.Bathroom shelf was chipped all way along the edge.Needs repairs.」

「I did not get use of the room as the hotel was locked up despite calling and leaving messages there was no reply . I had the inconvenience of having to travel 12 miles to find another hotel .」

「Friendly and easy accommodating staff. The hotel itself was a bit old (a part of history I guess) and some switches on the wall weren’t working properly. We visited in the end of Feb but the room was cosy and warm. 」

「We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

「Note the hotel is surrounded by bars open until 4am and 6am and if your room is facing out on to the main road you might be in for a very sleepless night. The hotel have very little empathy, just along the lines of what do you expect, its in a city centre hotel,.thats the general attitude. Also outright lied and said they offered an alternative room which when i asked at reception was actually told an outtright "no we are fully booked but there are earplugs provided in your room". Such a shame...

「Very nice staff, very clean room, nice clean bathroom nice shower over the bath plenty of hot water good water pressure, 2 small bottles of shampoo and body wash and a small bar of soap towels provided. Nice room with desk and chairs the bed was comfortable. Not enough power points to charge your phone/laptop/watch no USB points especially difficult if two people have items to charge at the same time maybe bring an extension lead/plug. Car parking is charged and expensive especially if staying...

「Booked for parents to celebrate fathers 80th. Accomadated a last minute change to more accessible room and late afternoon food. They both really enjoyed stay and could not say enough about quality of staffing and overall experience!」

「PLEASE READ!! This place is swarming with crack heads in and around the property. It is absolutely disgusting. The reception staff don’t let you leave or give your deposit back until they have physically checked the rooms, which is purely because the place is swarming with drug users. The BEDDING is heavily stained, the carpets are stained the whole thing should be advertised as a halfway house. This is not a hotel, yes it’s cheap, but it’s not even acceptable to sleep in during a cross country...
