"We stayed in room 220 on 1st floor. About 15 steps to room. (In 3 sections). No lifts. I have walking difficulties but steps we ok. Room clean & basic. Large corner balcony overlooking the sea. Air con in lounge.
On arrival Maria had left key's & instructions for us, easy! Pool area nice, clean & peaceful.
Other than breakfast option which we didn't use. There is no food or drink service on site. But supermarket outside was very good for supplies. For someone with walking issue...

A few minor issues the chairs on our balcony were cracked my partner went though one of them - they were quickly replaced bed sheets had holes in them and towels had stains on them . The food is great quality but if staying more than a week be prepared to get bored and the entertainment is very good but runs on a loop so its again if you there for longer you will be very bored watching the same thing .
If going Ai the drinks are great and it is top shelf stuff...

"It is very clean, the staff are super helpful and you can walk to everything you need. They don't do room service but you can get food like pizza across the street late. I could have done with a couple more pillows but it's fine. The balconies all look over the sea and the air-conditioning worked well. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were lovely and soft. "There is much I like about his hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and I also like the scale of the hotel which is colossal. I also enjoy the breakfast and dinner buffet and have never been stuck for something to eat. The location is set around a 20 min walk back from the beach front which again I quite like as it's quieter and more tranquil.

"I enjoyed a 5 night break at Sands. A little apprehensive due to several negative reviews however my experience was very positive. The rooms are a good size and have everything you need including full fridge freezer and dishwasher. The entire complex is very clean and is thoughtfully laid out. "A beautiful hotel with 4 pools and loads of sunbeds that are cleaned everyday. All the staff are very good as well as the cleaners. Everyone was kind, polite and helpful. Breakfast was very good and a feast of food for everyone's tastes. Wonderful stay I would not hesitate to book again."
"Fantastic Villa, great amount of space. We were a family of five with 3 teenagers. Pool was excellent and was cleaned twice during our 10day stay.Recommend hiring a car to save on taxis and buses. It is such a good location to get onto any of the main roads to explore the island.Just to note showers aren't very powerful and the hot water takes a while to come through.Communciation with the mangement compnay was very repsonsive, and any issues were immediately resolved.Would definitely recommend to families with teenager's "
"Staff very friendly, rooms very big and regularly serviced. Only food option is the buffet which was plentiful & fresh.
Our week had some strong winds which was a challenge but as the hotel is built around the pools the wind was lessened somewhat.
The aquapark is a 20min walk away and our boys, 15 & 13, thoroughly enjoyed it. We limited it to a half day ticket which was more than enough.
To get to costa teguise you can walk along the roads and it takes between 20-30mins or you can walk directly down to the coastal path, using the side roads or the paths in the black volcanic gardens just opposite the hotel. Bit blustery but very enjoyable.

Downside...listed " Lift " & " Accessible " on their details, but failed to mention the lift only went from Reception up & down to the dining area. They'd put us on the 3rd floor which I couldn't manage. I hadn't thought to mention I'm a wheelchair user as I assumed my needs were covered.
Upside...sorted out very quickly with no fuss - they changed our room to the Ground Floor. Not sure what would've happened if they'd been fully booked, but I was very impressed with how they handled it & with the wonderful staff in general.
