We found Lewes a really attractive town with an interesting quite radical history."

One drawback was that it was very hot outside and only two fans were available for the bedrooms. Make sure that you have access to Wi-Fi to retrieve the check-in information ahead of time. The host was very prompt in answering any inquiries that we may have had."

"Lewes Heights is a large house on the outskirts of Lewes, but a short drive from the centre. It is very well appointed and equipped and has six bedrooms and can sleep up to ten persons. Everything about it works well to provide comfort and ease of living. There are some excellent views out to the downs and the garden is attractive and a comfortable place in which to spend time. We had a very pleasant two nights there and enjoyed it thoroughly. It is not cheap, but provides excellent value for money. The owner was very helpful and rapidly responsive. Strongly recommended"
