Between the time we booked our reservations(well in advance) and our arrival to check in, the Super 8 in Strongsville had been torn down to make way for a new car dealership. We had to find accommodations elsewhere, and at inflated prices, since this was around the time of the total eclipse that crossed over central Ohio. So, in other words, we can't provide a more negative review than this one.

Good location and amazing staff but rooms that were listed as non-smoking smelled of thick smoke. Bedspreads/tables/night stands all had cigarette burn marks. Priced cheap but definitely would not recommend staying here for the $20 or $25 we saved.

Avoid - extra pet fee!
Check in took about 15 minutes because the clerk kept futzing around. Advertised as pet friendly, but charged $25 extra for having a small dog in my room. Never seen a hotel do that, so can only assume it's a method of pocketing some extra cash.

Worst hotel experience of my life ! I arrived late around 10 pm after driving all day. I checked in and went directly to bed after getting into the room. I wake up around 12:30 and I feel like my skin is on fire. I turn the light on and I have little red marks all over my body. (In all fairness I do have sensitive skin.) Half asleep I panicked and put my clothes back on, threw all my stuff back in the car and left. I went to another hotel nearby and purchased another room for the first night of my 4 night stay that I already paid for. I took a shower and went to bed finally around 2:30. Woke up the next morning absolutely fine. I have no idea what it was, but something in the bedding in this room caused this reaction. I return to the front desk in the morning to inform them of what happened and that I will need to check out 3 days early. I stated I would be happy to pay for the previous night but need a refund for the next 3. I am then told that since I booked through expedia the hotel could not issue me a refund and I would have to contact expedia. I found the customer service phone number and figured out how to finally get a human on the phone. After explaining what had happened I was told expedia would call the hotel to get a statement. I was called back about an hour later and informned that "The hotel manager has inspected the bedding in the room and saw nothing that would cause a rash" and expedia would not be able to issue me a refund per their policy with the hotel.
