「Welcoming staff, charming property and a really good nights sleep」

「I had a really excellent stay here and one of the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and clearly part of a recent refurbishment. Everything felt fresh, well decorated, and well looked after. What stood out even more than the room was the customer service. Laura was exceptional. She genuinely couldn’t do enough to help and made the welcome feel personal rather than the usual transactional check-in you get at most hotels. The...

「Lovely room at top, very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, bathroom spacious. Cooked breakfast was superb and beautifully presented. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Weeny downside, I had already paid via Expedia, my partner didn't realise, and when checking in, whilst I was elsewhere, paid for the room. 「There are few restaurants or pubs and the atmosphere is not so good near the hotel. What is worse, it is far from the nearest station to walk.」

「Stairs to the rooms were quite steep but the room was great. Comfortable bed and lovely to have fresh milk and homemade cookies. Unfortunately the shower could do with some attention as water was really slow to run away.Good selection at breakfast, staff were friendly and very accommodating. Could do with either cleaning or replacing the carpet on stairs and landing as it’s very stained and does them no favours in terms of appearance. Overall great stay and would recommend.」

「Location is perfect, close to lots of things to do and see. The staff are all very nice and friendly, can't folt them at all. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of an upgrade in the bathroom and a freshen up but it was still a nice enough stay. Food was beautiful, dining room was very clean and nicely presented. Would highly recommend.」
