"Great value room .."

"An honest review: The lady who checked us in was polite, almost gushingly so, but I will take that over rude, impersonal staff any day. I booked an accessible room and advised I had a dog. Upon arrival, I was told there were no handicap pet rooms, but she made an exception for which I was grateful, but... disabled people have pets, too. I had a couple other brief encounters. They were all friendly as well. The room was reasonably comfortable overall, and TV channel choices were plentiful, though there is no "sleep mode". Then there's everything else. -Mold in the walk-in shower -a handicapped seat in the shower, but no handheld shower - no way to even get wet -Bed linens were "short sheeted" - they were put on sideways and upon climbing in bed after a long day, I had to fight to pull the sheets up. Realized the problem the next morning and just dealt with it. -The ice machine seemed broken. One lady helped by dumping a glass full of ice in the machine. (I guess it's the thought that counts), but we eventually got ice. -ALL chairs in the breakfast area are nothing short of disgusting. -the bedside light did a disco dance everytime, until it became a solid glow -the back hall door didnt close securely, making security uncertain We booked this room for being less expensive than two similar hotels next door. But less expensive should not include mold in the bathroom or filthy chairs where one eats."

"The staff were friendly and the room was great for me and my pup. The nice lady at the desk even found me a room to check in early. Great location to things in Helen, and if I ever went back, I would stay again. For what I paid in comparison to other places in the area, I think it was a good deal. Nothing fancy, but definitely met what I needed for my trip."

"First let me say we arrived at 12:30 check in is at 3pm so I asked if room was ready it wasn’t so we walked to town. We went around had lunch walked back it is 3:30now. A white woman was at the desk checking in I was told my room wasnt ready still. I asked how someone walk in off the street get a room when you knew we were here first. Finally at 4:30 the room ready it smells bad very dirty and flys in the room.phone not working so I decided we not staying in this dump. I was racially profiled I don’t appreciate it."

"Not that clean and the suite needed refurbished. There was mold in the shower. dirty base boards and dusty blinds. Several things sitting on floor that appeared to have fallen off walls and not rehung. A desk chair up stairs had a big stain on it and a weird long pillow on bed that had multiple holes in it. Lots of marks and scratches on walls. Definitely needs repainted. Also it would have been nice to know this was a 2 story suite with the beds upstairs but one and only bathroom downstairs. On a positive note the staff at front desk was very nice. Good location and comfortable beds."
