"It was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet! If you are looking for a place to stay that is close to Helen but not right on the strip, this would be the place to go!! It isn't a big chain hotel, so there aren't people running up and down the hallways. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!! "

"Appearances of this Lodge is Mountain-motel, yet the room, Big Whiskey is a small but airbnb quality. Cindy provides homey touches and thoughtful additions to make your stay enjoyable. ‘She had me at Egyptian cotton sheets!’ The bed is so comfy and the coffee bar is well supplied. My only complaint is that the refrigerator froze my veggie snacks and boiled eggs, and the control knob had been removed."

"This was the ideal staycation of all staycation. I felt the slightest twinge of guilt having the place all to ourselves on the weekend before it all gets incredibly busy, but I got over that real quick. Sorry, not sorry, we lucked out. This was dreamy from decorations to decor to ambience: 1. Gorgeous inside & out 2. The most impressive little touches of love and care and hospitality all over the place, too many to count, you'll have to go see for yourself. 3. Close to outdoor adventure, not to mention a trail on property and our room overlooking a waterfall mere steps away. 4. Provisions for smores, snacks left out for us, the cleanest rooms ever. 5. And a book with a bunch of local things to do which were plenty, including G.O.A.T & Lady Bug Landing;) so precious & fun! The staff was very conscientious and helpful, most definitely coming back!"

"Clean room amazing staff, only thing was our ac unit in the room was acting up so we stayed hot the entire time. "

"There was a threat of an ice storm. Although it was a stressful time the staff was extremely patient, kind, and friendly, especially to the people in front of us in line to check-in who didn't seem to understand the details of their stay. I think the staff even spent the night at the hotel just in case it was so bad they weren't able to get to work the following day. The room was very large and clean. The breakfast was amazing with many delicious options, including the fixings for the oatmeal. We visit our grandson who lives in the area, about once a year. We will definitely stay here again."
