"This was an AMAZING stay! The location was exactly what we were looking for. It was immaculate - very clean, tastefully decorated and had everything you need for a relaxing and quiet stay. Now let's talk about the host Dixie. In all of my years vacationing, she was the very best I have ever communicated with/met. She responded quickly, followed up and even left goodies that my wife and I fought over for the last bite(s). Dixie - thank you SO MUCH and we will see you soon!"

"We stayed at this place only 2 nights. We were coming back from a conference in Asheville and we love the Lake Rabun area. In fact, I owned a place on the lake for years on Tame Turkey Rd. This was a very nice cabin. Very clean, very nicely decorated and comfortable. The description by the owners was very accurate. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it. We didn’t have any contact with the owners, all of the instructions were clear and easy and the place had everything we needed."

"Our room was clean but the bath mats need replacement. Staff was wonderful and extremely friendly. The breakfast was excellent and parking was easy. This was our 3rd stay and we were not disappointed."
Hillside Manor Cabin

"We were very fortunate to find Hillside Manor to stay in during part of my recovery from leg surgery. The decor inside was so cheery and thoughtfully done. Everything was close by and easy for me to navigate. We found everything we needed in the kitchen and there was plenty of storage space in the kitchen and the bedrooms. Hand towels with makeup wipe remover packets were placed on the counters in the bathrooms. The master bathroom had two sinks and a spa-like shower with lots of space. The back deck had a beautiful view and there were small lantern lights that came on in the evenings. Host/management company was very responsive with any questions or needs. The living room was my favorite room with the wonderful blue sofa and other furniture. There is a steep first part of the driveway that doesn’t show up in the photos but the bottom is flat. There is also plenty of additional parking space up above on the road. The neighborhood was quiet and crazy to get out of to the main road. We would not hesitate to ask to stay there again in the future."

"We have stayed at this home for at least 3 years and we stay here for all of our competitions at Rabun Arena. We stay 4 times a year and love it. The house is always clean and well kept. We love the cows mooing and just how quiet it is. Love it there!"
Modern Clarkesville Cottage w/ Decks & Patio!

"I was in the area for a family gathering in The Orchard Golf & County Club community. The Gatehouse is located about 1 mile from The Orchard's entrance gate so the location was perfect.When I booked the rental back in early March of 2026, the listing indicated that the rental did not have A/C. I debated for a while before booking but due to the location I decided to go ahead. Turns out that the listing was incorrect. The rental was airconditioned. This rental HAS fully modern A/C and and heating. The rental was very clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you need for your visit. Based on the guest book, the Gatehouse has been a rental for 3 years. It looks like it was built within the last year. Highly recommend this rental and will likely stay here again in for future family gatherings."
