"We can recommend this hotel unreservedly. Staff went out of their way to help us with our problems and make us comfortable. We first had to change our reservation due to the train strike and Joey took care of that, next we wanted twin instead of double beds and Emily took care of that. Everytime we asked for help they were able to do something. The hotel is very conveniently located in the high street, clean and welcoming. Food in the bar is excellent."

The hotel staff, especially the reception ladies, are very friendly and pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet has now been replaced by a freshly cooked to order offering, for which you need to allow extra time. My only gribble was the breakfast coffee was tepid."
