We enjoyed our stay at The County Hotel. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had an economy double room in the annexe building. The room was clean and basic, ideal for a one night stay. The vegetarian full English breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay at this hotel again

Great service from very helpful staff, stayed in an economy single room, bed was fine, bathroom was very small but OK for 1 night, Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Would stay here again.

I booked a small suite which was well laid out with great amenities. The only downside was there wasn’t any hot water in the shower in the morning. On the plus side- it had the longest bath of any hotel I’ve stayed in. Friendly staff and quiet location.

Enjoyed a 4 night stay, great location, very friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food and service from the onsite Samphire restaurant was great. Would return again.

Excellent staff who could not be any more helpful. Room was extremely comfortable and clean and was just what I needed. The bar was inviting and comfortable too with a good selection of drinks, I will definitely visit here again

If your looking for an overrated hotel then this is your place!!! Dated old dirty pillows, hair in the bed,chips in the mirror bed so uncomfortable you might aswell sleep on the floor dirty towels, don't get me started on the parking fee aswell, 9 pound! Reception staff on arrival grumpy as hell! Reception staff when leaving very nice and helpful shame they wasn't working when we arrived! Overall wished we had just booked a Premier inn that worked out cheaper with decent beds aircon and all that jazz! Only reason we went here was because of parking. This hotel should be a 1* and even that's being nice! Would not return! Patch work painting and tiling agh just gross place to stay.

Well located for the train station. Friendly staff. Room was tired, no black out curtains on the main road with lots of blue light activity on the street through the evening. No bedside lamps in working order. But fine for one night’s stay on business.

The hotel is quite dated and could do with modernisation throughout. We paid extra for a larger room with a balcony, the view of the car park was faultless. The room was baking hot when we realised there was no air conditioning, although they did supply a fan and after a few adjustments we managed to stop the rattling noise from it. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was good location for the town centre.

Staff very helpful and friendly. Suite Room was spacious and comfortable, though slightly dated for the price. Room lacked bathroom flannels and slippers (though robes were provided). Breakfast was good but our poached eggs were over cooked both mornings. Monty at the bar was great and made a mean Negroni. Lawrence behind the desk was amazing and her customer service skills top notch! We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Staff were so helpful and accomadating. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. I would also highly recommend eating in the restaurant. Both dinner and breakfast were amazing with a touch of luxury too .
