I was really disappointed with my recent stay. The hotel advertises amenities that simply weren’t available there was no sauna as expected, and the jacuzzi, which is clearly listed, wasn’t even functioning. It felt misleading and poorly managed. To make matters worse, I couldn’t sleep because music was blasting at 2am. I called reception and, to be fair, it was eventually sorted, but it completely disrupted the night. I was also told that the manager might offer some form of compensation in the morning. However, before check-out, I was then told there was nothing they could do, which was extremely frustrating given how poor the stay had been. Overall, it seems like Manor of Grove has seriously dropped its standards. What used to feel like a reliable and comfortable place now feels neglected and not worth the price. I wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

Check-in was fine, but the leisure facilities were a letdown. The pool was cold, the jacuzzi didn’t work, and the steam room was out of order. Lockers were unreliable and needed a £1 coin, which is odd for a card-only facility. The saunas are segregated and located in the changing rooms, which isn’t ideal for a couples stay. The male sauna also smelled strongly of urinals. We left almost immediately. At least we weren’t charged. We booked an Executive room, but it didn’t feel like one. The lighting was poor, leaving parts of the room dark. The shower-over-bath setup was awkward due to the curved bath, and not what I’d expect at this level. Worst of all, the “double” bed was just two singles pushed together — unacceptable for an Executive room. Why do some hotels think this is OK? If I wanted a budget hotel, I would have booked one. Oh, and the miniature soaps where annoying at best and useless for a shower. There must have been more plastic used in the packaging than shower gel inside it. Staff were generally pleasant, though the older bartender could do with smiling every now and again. Food was very nice, dinner and breakfast. Some options for vegetarians but this didn't seem to please 'Karen' who found an opportunity to be rude and moan at every opportunity. I guess you can't please them all, especially the Karen's of this world. Wouldn't choose stay again, though I’ve stayed in worse and it's not the worse place for a bed for the night.

Room definitely needs upgrading , it did smell bit of wee , the light in bathroom was broken, light on wall was hanging off , I said excellent as the facilities was excellent, sauna , jacuzzi, gym , food was amazing, staff are excellent, but hotel definitely needs a refresher, paint work awlful, carpet terrible, but very nice bed 👍

The room was clean though we could have done with some more pillows. The spa facilities were good and my full body massage treatment was excellent. The waitress and waiter at the meal were welcoming however the order was changed due to my allergy without them informing me and my steak came without any sauce. I asked for a different sauce to my steak; instead of peppercorn sauce I asked for Blue cheese sauce and was just given a little bowl of cubes of blue cheese, which was disappointing, otherwise good food at the restaurant. Breakfast in bed was good just slightly overdone toast but I know this is a personal preference but could have been medium to suit everyone. Over all an anverage/good stay :).

Hotel itself was clean . The room was a nit shabby especially the bathroom. We had issues with the bathroom lights continuously going on and off. We offered to move tooms but we were all unpacked by then. Could of done with a comfortable chair in the room. No details in the room of how to vontact reception. Not many complimentary toiletries eg shower cap , moisturiser. Limited small botules of shampoo only and shower gel. All staff were fabulous except bar and waiting staff who had no personality, were miserable and barely spoke a word ! They let the team down. Especially the lady eith long ginger hair....she kust needs to smile and be polite !

The hotel, its facilities, staff and overall way it’s run was truly awful. From the outside, the hotel looks lovely. As soon as you walk in, the hotel disappoints. Do not go for the cheapest room. They are like something from the 70s and are in desperate need of attention. Save the money, go to premier inn. After complaining, we upgraded to a premium room. Again, carpets threadbare, paint peeling from walls, stains on bathroom floor, and furniture that had paint peeling off it. We stuck it out as no other rooms available. The bed was relatively comfortable. The next morning at breakfast the shambles continued. Not enough staff on duty, not enough food available as they were slow to cook and bring more out, watered down juice, and staff who were totally fed up being complained to. What looks a lovely hotel turned out to be truly awful. Save your money, do not stay here
