This was our second stay at Greyfriars and it didn't disappoint us! Such a lovely atmosphere when you walk in. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are amazing, including a fairly decent sized fridge, very comfy bed and amazing bathroom. We felt like we were staying in a country house, with all the convenience of walking out into a city centre. Easy access to the park for a walk before breakfast. Breakfast has so many options, and you are never rushed. Hard to not keep ordering the pancakes each day as they are so good. Our daughter came to join us for breakfast with her 1 year old on a couple of the days and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Also I would like to mention the housekeeping staff who refreshed our room each day. All in all a perfect stay, so we will definitely be back. Thank you.

An excellent hotel. Just a couple of niggles - our bathroom did not have a soft closing toilet seat, there were no biscuits on tea/coffee tray and would have been nice to have some body lotion and hand cream in room

The greeting staff were very informative and pleasant. They were able to answer any questions we had for our stay. Unfortunately this didn’t carry through to the bar staff who ignored us when we were waiting to be served and then finally when we were, we seemed to be an inconvenience to them, we left and took our evening customs elsewhere and only used the room to stay in. The room was average; we found dead insects in the curtains. The bathroom improved our stay and was very comfortable. Overall, I’d like to see an improvement in the bar staff and the cleanliness of the rooms improved.
