"Visited WV relatives for early holiday. Yellow Dragonfly is overall great for ages 6y-60y. We prepped traditional Thanksgiving dinner in full kitchen, then had large separate dining room/table to dine away from the work. Little things we liked: ramp to enter; cool game room; plentiful lighting; holiday decor; stocked, including some nice snacks; nothing broken; phone chargers; close to hiking such as Cooper's. Jeff reached out to ensure all was well.We'll be back."

"Alpine Lake Manor was a great fall retreat! The house sits on the lake, so we got a great view of the geese, ducks, & a beautiful great blue heron, along wirh the autumn color-changing leaves! The house had some great antique finds such as a hand made/sewn notebook, a wonderful vase ala Frank Lloyd Wright, and a window shutter wall hanging of the Raven by Edgar Alan Poe. The listing states it has one bathroom and photos show two. In reality, there are three full bathrooms! All on rhe first floor. Spacious house with everything you need. Being a log cabun, the living room is quite dark inside. There are a lot of lamps, but still dark. Also, there are no railings on the stairs to the second floor. The front porch railings are lose, too. So, not siutable for young children or older folks with mobility issues. Overall though, it was great. Sitting on rhe porch was the highlight. "

"Quiet and quaint for a true WV country feel. Close to WVU without the hustle and bustle of being downtown. Check in and check out were hassle free and easy. Great communication from the owners. Little cafe across the street is lovely. Had a wonderful experience and will definitely stay here again!"
