"Breakfast was ok the fruits were fresh but the gallo pinto to dry. The rooms are big but outdated. No air conditioning. The surrounds are beautiful. If you don’t need air conditioned you will be fine. The bed is not comfortable neither the pillows. "

"It was exactly what I was expecting. I wanted a private, secluded cabin with amazing view of the Arenal Volcano. Wonderful porch to drink our coffee. Hummingbird feeders that brought in the birds. Perfect for our family of 4. Secluded yet close to grocery store, restaurants, and excursions. WiFi and streaming services worked great. I was nervous about no A/C. But we didn’t need it! Fans if needed but we just opened the sliding doors for a nice breeze. Also worried if my kids would miss not having a pool but we did so many activities, it wouldn’t have been used much anyways. There are several free hot springs nearby and many resorts offer a day pass to use their pools and waterslides. The host was very accommodating. Coffee pot quit working but he was very responsive and replaced same day with a brand new one. Also easy to talk to since host speaks fluent English. Absolutely recommend staying here for a cabin vibe and volcano view!"

"We were given a room that was full of mildew. When we turned on AC to help it too smelled of mold. When I spoke to manager she said previous person did not complain, which just tells me they have poor quality control. (And that she was dismissing my concern). My son started coughing due to conditions and we talked to front desk about checking out early. Turns out when we first arrived I signed a form allowing no early check outs. Just make sure you look at room before you sign their paperwork. After we complained they moved us to a room more in keeping with how the rooms were advertised. So I think we were given a room that had not been renovated yet. In short, I agree with some of the other reviews, motel quality and staff not very friendly. Also if healthy food important to you- be aware they have margarine not butter, not the freshest ingredients. I thought given price, I was paying for better quality that just wasn’t there. For additional context- the sheets were thin, had stains, and back porch had sewer smell. "

"We stayed on the second floor and had a nice balcony with a view of the volcano which was beautiful. The room had a few inconveniences - there was no countertop by the sink for toiletries and the Wi-Fi was very poor. Also, be ready for an early wake-up as the birds start chirping around 5 a.m. and it’s a full-on orchestra. Overall, it was a nice place."

"Breakfast was fantastic every morning. Great variety to suit everyone. The entire property was spotless, including the room!! Everything is very well maintained. Majority of staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. Drinks at the bar were lovely and happy hour every evening was a nice surprise, although the menu is much smaller. "
