I had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious and the balcony room was well appointed and comfortable. I highly recommend and would stay again.

We stayed in this hotel in magical Cartagena (walled downtown area) for a week in February. It’s a small and beautiful boutique hotel in a lovely and quiet street, within walking distance to all major attractions. The staff is very friendly, they took care of everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The breakfast is outstanding. The property is well maintained. The room has everything you need, comfy bed, A/C, big bathroom. There’s very little closet space but there are some shelves. There’s no elevator but they helped carry our luggage to the third floor. The terrace is nice. There’s a convenience store right beside the hotel to buy water, snacks or even small meals. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

The only good thing about this place is the staff. This is just an over priced establishment that wants to pretend its high end. Ive stayed numerous times with them and always seem to have a problem and its gotten worse. First of all they keep trying to give me a room literally in the lobby, ground floor with "windows" facing the kitchen/dish washing area, no privacy whatsoever and would assume fried egg smell every morning. Having a room there is BEYOND my comprehension. I complained and then they proceeded to give last floor (3 floor walk up) room with no windows. Mind you ive stayed at their establishments 4 times and tend to stay longer than usual tourists. I also reserved a few weeks ahead of time. If you bring any guest over they will charge you a whole extra night for the guest, they said its for "safety reasons" but its not mentioned anywhere in their policies. To me that doesnt sound like a safety issue but rather taking an opportunity to rip you off and get you just like the rest of street vendors in cartagena. With such policy with such an outrageous cost should be listed and clearly .Besides that breakfast isnt all that, no different then the hotel my friend stayed that cost half the price and charge a reasonable $25 for guests. Towels had holes and worn out badly and the ac barely worked at maximum cooling. This is not a high end place and what they charge is not worth it. I worked 15 years in 5 star hotels and as a start you recognize your repeat customers

I had a LOVELY stay at Hotel Casa La Mantilla by Faranda Boutique. The staff was friendly and inviting and helped me with my bags to my room due to there not being an elevator (if you cannot easily walk up stairs you may want to reconsider staying here). As soon as I arrived I enjoyed the quaint pool surrounded by tropical plants...super refreshing in the Cartagena heat! My room had a queen bed and a balcony facing the street. The room was clean, modern, and inviting. The sink and shower both had hot water and they offered washcloths which was harder to come by in Cartagena at hotels than I thought! The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the views from the balcony. However I should have closed the storm doors on the balcony to block out the street noise. I also found the hallways of the hotel to be noisey likely due to the building being from the colonial period, however once folks were in their rooms I could not hear any noise through the walls thankfully. The front desk also helped me to book a last minute beach excursion to Sabai Beach Club via Cosa Viva Tours (highly recommend!! wonderful experience!). I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here again!

Nice breakfast buffet, helpful staff. Our room was on the the third floor, no elevator. Very steep winding stairs difficult for older travelers to go up and down with luggage etc. Ask for a lower level room if you can.

Overall, we had a great experience at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well kept. Only complaint would be the room we stayed in was a little tight and little to no closet space. But we would definitely visit again.

Small boutique hotel in a quiet street within the walled city of Cartagena. Rooms are small, but very comfortable to enjoy the stay in the city. Personnel is very helpful and will make you feel at home.
