What stands out most about this comfortable place to rest is the attention of the staff. The lady who works there offers the best service and is very receptive and attentive, and this is one of the things that is sometimes more important than everything else.

I had a fantastic stay at the University Inn of Carbondale! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable experience. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything I needed. The location was perfect, and the breakfast buffet? Delicious.

Don’t stay here needs work. No front counter person you check with a web chat kiosk screen. Only one lamp and two pillow. Not enough curtains closet window had none allowing parking lot light to light up the room at night. No Wi-Fi no Catv .Room big and clean no toilet paper holder. No elevator. Wouldn’t recommend because of no staff on property.

Hard to Beat the Price

The price here remains a great value. The rest still needs work, but i do think they are trying. The individuals operating the check-in kiosk, for example, seemed more friendly than last time. The area behind the hotel (my room faced that direction), however, needs a major clean-up. I will continue to patronize the place given the value/effort

You Get What You Pay For

The price here was hard to beat. For that you get a functional room and not a lot more. One great thing was that it was not crowded. The check-in kiosk feels rather impersonal. Breakfast is minimal. I'd stay here again if travelling alone - and the price remains the same.

I booked for a room this weekend and i check in the exact room i booked for, the staffs are friendly and the bathroom is nice and clean.

Cheap for a reason. Not for families

Right next to a rowdy bar that lets out around 50 people at 1:30 am. Room has damage galore and no actual attendant on duty, just a kiosk. Breakfast is decent though and it's pretty quiet during the day. Also a kid breaking bottles against the abandoned building next door after 1 am is a lil wild. I told him chill out and he left though so all good I guess.Water pressure not great.

Good value with the discount

I paid half price for my stay so it was especially nice for the price. The room and halls were very cleaned and well maintained and furnished. I am very happy with our stay. There was no gym or pool so this works if you are not needing a lot of amenities.

A good value

By no means a fancy place, but for what I paid it was worth it. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well. It was very quiet, likely because the university is on break. The location worked well for me too.

Na!

Just an overnight stay. Won't be coming back. Checkin was at a kiosk talking to a guy, who knows where he was at. Only one employee seen while we were there, he was cleaning our room. Only good thing was the bed was actually comfortable. View out the window was the abandoned part of the hotel, all boardedup.

Eclipse stay

At 3 am there was a lot of noise down the hall and it was just a monday night. The breakfast was hot, and not continental, which was nice but definitely was just provided for the morning of the eclipse and we stayed 2 nights so the following night was just continental. Other than that it was a good stay!
