A Step Back Inn is a very beautifully restored & decorated home, cozy and quaint, yet modern & roomy. Its layout and function is for modern life & family, with efficient use of space, and plenty of amenities. The kitchen, dining and sitting areas are perfect for family meals, fun games, reading, and relaxation. Backyard patio & table is great for an outdoor meal, with soothing sounds of the water fountain, or just a lazy afternoon nap after a white water rafting trip. Upstair bedrooms with vaulted ceilings and dormers invite you to an evening of relaxation. The chair couch at the landing invites you to just sit down and relax. The choice of hand soap, shampoo, lotion, soft towels, and linens are superb. The lightings sets the mood of each room. The tin ceiling and antique decoration reminds you the history of the house and its surrounding town. Kevin is a great host, who explained everything about the house to us clearly at checkin. Just as our family enjoyed our white water rafting trip very much, we enjoyed our time and stay at the A Step Back Inn, which allowed us a brief moment to step back in time, relax, and rejuvenate, before we head back to our hustle & bustle life at work and school. A Step Back Inn is definitely a great choice for us, we highly recommend it to anyone who visit Canon City.
