"Great location, we knew the beach was not going to be a highlight. The resort was just what we needed for our extended stay in Mexico filled with alot of excursions and time away from the resort. Kids enjoyed the coconut ice cream daily, family really enjoyed the restaurants we had steak every night. Staff was 50/50, good servers in some restaurants but we had one dinner that took forever and steaks came out wrong temp and we essentially traded plates just so we could keep dinner moving after a long day, mornings at the buffet the servers didnt check in with us after they originally got our first drinks.
Housekeeping was quick in our rooms but we had to ask them to make sure they swept after a couple of fails. The minibar is stocked with coke products which we enjoyed. The app made it easy to connect with conceriege and order room service, our last night while we packed we managed to miss the cutoff to room service and had to go to the café to find food. Husband said the Cafe was the highlight, he enjoyed it being open 24hrs.
We struggled with getting help from the wait staff at the quiet pool several days and they dont make it easy to get to the bar over there and the bartenders neglected the swim up bar. We were receiving alot of calls from the front desk initially to come get our welcome gift but we didnt want to get trapped into a sales pitch so we avoided them.
Husband slipped in the shower the first night could of gotten really hurt. The wildlife was plentiful."
