"Our stay at Punta Magica was excellent. Alex is a super responsive host and so communication was also quick and easy. The villa is even better than the photos, and it was so nice having our own private little pool. It’s a short walk into the main area with restaurants and the beach, but we didn’t mind this as meant we got to see some of the surrounding area. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Puerto Escondido! "

"The staff was friendly and kind. The sourdough toast was quite small, it was like one toast cut in half but the jams were declicious. It would be great to have decaf cofffee. The air conditioning vs the amount of bedsheets we got was not good. The room would get extremely cold and we had to ask for extra sheets and on our last day a duvet. As a suggestion, it would be great if rooms had a mini refrigetator, we wanted to bring some food back from a restaurant but had to throw it away because we had no wehere to store it and there were ants (which is normal as we are at the beach) but a fridge would help."

"The hotel was exceptionally quiet and clean, exuding a modern and wonderful ambiance. The staff, particularly Fernando and Daniel, were exceptional and incredibly helpful, providing us with wonderful recommendations. The restaurant next door also had a fantastic staff. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return. It’s very LGBTQ+ safe and welcoming. The location is perfect for walking to La Punta and Zicatela. However, if you prefer not to pay for cabs to the swimmable beaches, we recommend renting a car or an ATV. We also loved the rooftop pool, which was a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset."

"This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The staff really went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The reason for deducting one star has to do with the fact that they are about 15 mins away from a swimable beach. That was not clearly advertised when we booked our stay. If you are looking for a space to relax, this is the hotel for you. We will definitely be back."

"There was no airport shuttle offered. Check in was very very slow. We had to ask twice for them to get another person to help with the line. We got room 12 which was right next to the lobby. We paid for a double room with partial ocean view. This room was the worst in the hotel and no ocean view unless you leaned out over the railing of the balcony you could see a sliver of ocean. Glenda the manager suggested we move to a king room and pay extra per night but instead we saw online that there was another double available on the second floor and asked to move there for the same price per night. She moved us after the first night to room 24 which was much better. However, her front staff were not helpful whatsoever in this move or accommodating as we had to ask several times to speak with the manager in the first place. Hotel was clean and the second room was comfortable. However be prepared for obsessively loud music next door from 8am to 11pm with base that makes the room shake. We had to sleep with AirPods and brown noise to drown out the music. Also, the music at the beach club of this resort is also way too loud. We asked them to turn it down numerous times to which they did for an hour or so. Zero service at the pool. Some service at the beach but not attentive. Sadly we will not be back."
