Perfect stay!

Had an amazing stay at Mantra in April - staff were incredible across the board. So helpful and kind. The location can’t be beat and the rooftop pool and bar are beautiful. Rooms are very comfortable, clean, and spacious. Looking forward to returning one day soon!

We enjoyed our stay at Mantra. We were there for 4 nights. The staff is very nice and helpful. The room was very nice with cold AC. The pool was pleasant. The bartender Luca made us some delicious Sandia Margaritas. A shoutout to some of the staff members that helped us get around. And recommended where to go shopping and restaurants. Victoria, Victor, Lourdes, Alejandra, Sofia and Zule. Thank you all!!! We can’t wait to go back!!!!

I would give this hotel 100 stars if I could. Easy to communicate with staff, beautiful rooftop where they don’t nickel and dime for guests (Daniel the bartender is amazing so get your drinks here!) massage, airport transfers, WhatsApp communication, free bag storage. This hotel is a gem.

Absolutely beautiful and affordable place to stay in Puerto Escondido. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Very kind and helpful staff. Refreshing pool on the rooftop with a bar. Highly recommended!!!

The hotel was great, it was clean and the staff were friendly. It was my boyfriend’s birthday and they decorated the room with a birthday banner and some complimentary chocolates, which was a nice gesture. The pool and rooftop bar were great. The hotel is also located walking distance from the beach and all the restaurants, so we did not have to rent a car during our stay. I would definitely return to this boutique hotel.

Not the comfort we were expecting

Staff was friendly and room was nicely furnished and decorated but we had no hot water at anytime of day. So no relaxing showers, didn’t want to shave, etc. And there was loud construction, hammering, drilling directly above us during the day. So an afternoon siesta was not possible.

Pretty Hotel but would not stay here again

We picked this hotel based on the photos and reviews. Once we arrived the customer service lacked on the first day - no recommendations were provided by the front desk but at least we were able to check in early (30min before 3pm), and then we went to the rooftop bar and no where did it indicate we had to go up to the bartender for service. After we were ignored for about 15min- there were only two people at the bar, not busy at all, my wife approached the bartender and he explained how you order there. Our house keeping just made the bed but wouldn’t change the sheets until requested. The rooftop pool was nice, the hot tub was not hot at all. Not enough lounging beds and you have to get there early to secure one. No variety on the continental breakfast (yogurt, cereal, fruit, panini style sandwiches and smoothies). Overall it’s a pretty hotel that looks like it does not belong on that street but close to the beach and Main Street.
