Brasstown Bald Mountain

Large hotel that’s well kept and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful including the bar/restaurant downstairs. Only real issue was the parking. There is a lot for self park but it is $7 an hour or $30 for overnight parking, which is a bit ridiculous since the hotel is in a rural area just outside of airport and not in the city. Not sure why the need to itemize parking for an additional fee if Westin already charges more for the higher end hotel stays while other hotels that are literally next door don’t.

I booked my room three months in advance for a double bed showed up to the hotel at 4 o’clock and was promised that my room would be ready later. When I showed up after the game not only was my room not available They were out of the double beds and only had kings available. I was told there was nothing they could do. It was what it was and that they don’t know how to hold a reservationI was forced to share a bed with a friend of mine. It’s literally the only thing a hotel has to do is take a reservation and then honor that reservation and that was too much for this particular hotel. I was also told because I booked it on a third-party, but there was nothing they could do to compensate me. I am a Hilton diamond member and have learned my lesson to never stay at a Marriott ever again. This is all after we learned that the parking is not only for the hotel, but fo the entire downtown of Atlanta so there were no parking spots when we got there. So to recap no parking and no ability to honer there room obligations they should stop being a hotel. They’re not good at it.
