"Very disappointing experience. What you see advertised is absolutely not what you get. The hotel claims to offer facilities and services that simply do not exist. There was no restaurant or bar available during our stay — we were actually told to go next door if we wanted food or drinks. The entire place felt neglected and abandoned. From the moment you walk into reception, you can immediately sense there is no atmosphere or life in the hotel. The rooms were dusty and poorly maintained to the point we almost left the very same night. It’s a real shame because the property itself could have potential, yet even the swimming pool was covered with a tent and looked completely unused. The only positive part of our stay was the staff, who were polite and tried their best despite clearly working with very little support. Sadly, I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting the experience shown in the advertisements"

"Room only. Website said self parking but this was at the back of the hotel and run by a different company, another £35. Hotel was tired. Lift broken down but small service one working for the bags but we used the stairs. Outdoor pool was dirty. Check in was not until 16.00. We had a coach of youth rugby players and staff staying at the hotel so we had kids running about the bar and disturbances in the corridors late at night and the fire alarm was set off twice at two in the morning. (somebody smoking in the rooms) Hotel is in a good position for a short walk to the beach. and pier area. I left my bag in the bar at night and the staff had it at reception for me the next day a great indication of honesty. We didn't use the restaurant for breakfast or dinner so can;t comment on this area of the hotel. I had also booked a room for friends who were on the same floor and they experienced the same disrupted nights sleep."

"Beautiful property with the best ocean view, in a classic old building. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and courteous. It is on a hill above Bournemouth, so accessing the town means walking up and down a steep hill. This was not a problem for us, but something to consider if you have mobility issues."

"Very efficient check in. Good choice at breakfast.we also had 3 meals in the pub/grill that were very good. The staff were all very friendly , particularly in the Pub Grill."
