I tried this hotel based on the excellent comments but it did not work for me. From difficulties to check in to a old man having an inappropriate behavior with a young lady almost naked in the restaurant area yesterday night and a breakfast area not able to serve any kind of cooked eggs this morning. Bad timing maybe that plays against the hotel but my honest feedback.

Die Mitarbeiter sind soweit freundlich, entsprechen jedoch nicht dem Standard eines Vier-Sterne-Hotels. Wir hatten ein Zimmer ohne Minibar und Safe. An der Rezeption wurde uns dies bei der Anreise nicht mitgeteilt, sodass wir selbst noch einmal hinuntergehen und nachfragen mussten, da das Telefon im Zimmer nicht funktionierte. Dort wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Zimmer nach und nach erneut ausgestattet werden und man den Safe an der Rezeption nutzen könne. Das haben wir nicht in Anspruch genommen und finden es für den Zimmerpreis sehr unverschämt. Eigentlich müsste man auch einen Teil des Preises erstattet bekommen, da man kein Zimmer eines Vier-Sterne-Hotels erhalten hat. Positiv anzumerken ist, dass das Zimmer eine schöne Größe sowie gute Sitzgelegenheiten für zwei Personen hat. Der Föhn ist schrecklich und sowohl zum Stylen als auch zum normalen Haareföhnen ungeeignet. Unhygienisch und veraltet ist auch der Teppich im Zimmer. Jedoch war ansonsten alles sehr sauber. Den Essbereich finden wir eher ungemütlich, da zu wenige Sitzgelegenheiten vorhanden sind und Rezeption und Bar in einem Raum untergebracht sind. Man sitzt außerdem viel zu eng beieinander. Positiv anzumerken sind die höheren Tische. Die Barkarte bietet keine gute Auswahl und keine alkoholfreien Cocktails, weshalb wir dort auch nichts getrunken haben. Ehrlich gesagt hätten wir dort ohnehin nichts getrunken, da alle wie die Hühner auf der Stange saßen. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung, aber Standard – wir haben s

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Das Personal ist sehr nett, unser Zimmer ruhig und sehr sauber. Etwas schade finde ich die zusätzliche Parkgebühr von 14,50 und das auch vor der Tiefgarage ohne Überdachung. Das Musical Starlight Express, Ruhrstadion, Tierpark Bochum und auch weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten kann man zu Fuß sehr gut erreichen.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut an einem schönen Park gelegen. Zum Bochumer Stadion und zu Starlight Express sind es nur wenige Gehminuten (ca. 10 min). Auch viele nette kleine Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Parken kann man im Wohnviertel oder in der TG des Hotels. Das Frühstücksbuffett war reichhaltig und lecker. Es wurde immer wieder aufgefüllt. Wir können es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gern wieder wenn wir in Bochum zu Besuch sind.

Das Welcome Parkhotel liegt in guter Anbindung per ÖPNV und nur wenige Fahrminuten zum Bahnhof gelegen. Vom Hotel aus erreicht man fußläufig bereits einige tolle Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie zum Beispiel den Tierpark oder das Planetarium. Und wer Fan des VfL Bochum erreicht das Stadion ebenfalls zu Fuß recht schnell. Das Hotel selbst macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck, mein gebuchtes Einzelzimmer war gut gut aufgeteilt und groß. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren sehr sauber. Ein Pluspunkt: wenn man auf die tägliche Reinigung verzichtet, erhält man als Dankeschön ein kostenloses nichtalkoholisches Getränk an der Hotelbar. Im hausinternen Restaurant gibt es eine kleine sehr überschaubare Auswahl an Speisen, die preislich ok sind. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zum Frühstücksangebot kann ich nichts sagen, da ich ohne Frühstück gebucht hatte.
