"Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Being a historic hotel, the rooms were a bit small, but they were very nice, and the staff was delightful. Highly recommended. "

"Love this resort but it's definitely showing it's age. One strange downside is that the bathrooms don't have fans in them. Not sure how or why this is the case in such a humid place. The best features are definitely location, the pool and private beach area with fire pits for nights at the Reel bar and live music. Beds are very comfortable too and complimentary coffee in the lobby is a bonus! "

"Very clean room. Bed and bedding was so comfortable and of high quality. Slept like a baby. The newly renovated rooms with the nostalgic touch was very nice. AC/heating unit was top notch. Hotel exceeded my expectations especially since I grew up in the local area. Highly recommend, will stay again. Only recommendation is to get rid of the black hand washcloths. Get all white so it can be washed in bleach also."

"This place has everything we need for a pleasant and relaxing stay. We are close to dining, recreation and the MUSC campus. We stay often and it’s always clean and comfy. Food is always good as well. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. "
