Lovely breakfast in an airy dining area. Staff friendly and helpful.
The main issue we felt was the room needed some refurbishing, curtains were fixed to window and the wall light shade at one side of the bed was broken and hanging down exposing wiring. It was quite dusty so must of been like it for a time.
Where do I start, staff helpful, rooms filthy (carpet stained, cobwebs everywhere, curtain hanging off rails) like an American motel that needs knocking down and rebuilding. Very strange rooms where there are two doors to get into the room totally pointless. This could be made really nice but needs a lot of money spent on it
Although the hotel is being renovated and upgraded we were in one of the old rooms, bedding was clean and bathroom was ok, but as for the rest of the room it was pretty bad, cobwebs everywhere splash marks on walls etc.
staff were great on arrival and departure, free continental breakfast.
£30 deposit required upon check in which I wasn’t aware of and to be fair if I had looked at the room first I would have refused to pay it.
But great location for visiting Coventry.
I loved it is so much value for money peaceful.\n The bed is so comfy.\n Just everything really give it 5 stars?

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Just stayed one night after a concert so only made use of the room which had recently been renovated.Nice and comfortable.Queued for ages waiting to check in on arrival but once it was our turn the lady checking us in was very pleasant and apologetic. They take a holding deposit on arrival, which is refunded once room is checked over after departure.
This is one of the worst hotels I have ever booked, and I regularly arrange accommodation for our workforce, so I have stayed in and booked plenty of hotels over the years.
The condition of the room was so bad that the lads refused to stay and had to find alternative accommodation. Despite this, the hotel would not issue a refund.
The room was filthy and had clearly not been cleaned properly before our arrival. There was mould around the bed area, which is completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about hygiene. The smell throughout the room was disgusting – a strong, musty odour that hit you as soon as you walked in.
To make matters worse, there were cobwebs hanging from the ceilings and thick dust on surfaces throughout the room. It was obvious that basic housekeeping standards were not being maintained.
I expected a clean, safe and comfortable place to stay. Instead, we found a hotel that felt neglected, dirty and poorly maintained. The fact that the room was in such a condition and the hotel then refused to provide a refund when the occupants were unable to stay only added to the disappointment.
Better then reviews after recent renovation. Only issue we has was the bed wasnt made and no clean towels on arrival but quickly resolved by helpful staff!
Ideal location of hotel. For what you pay room is as expected but imagine only if you stay in one of the updated rooms. Even these the standard of finish just seems rushed. Room wasn't overly clean on arrival. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Staying whilst renovating my property. Location of the hotel was out of the way of people's footfall and noise from patronage was minimal. This will be a secret hideaway for a quiet getaway. High maintenance will help futurewise to be an excellent choice in hotel choices. Carpark space is good as long as patrons don't spoil by slamming doors, bright headlights etc.
At time of arrival, property was clean. No cleaner to change bedsheets or clean room next day. Reception Staff was not helpful , maintain property with cleaning and better soft skill with customer service experience will be a huge help
Poor experience
No room service
No way to contact reception from room.
Phone lines are dead
Builder work going on causing loads of noise.
Toilet leaking
Mattress very uncomfortable and you can count the spring touching your back.
Booked a stay at this hotel in march 2026 for a stay in June. Arrived in the car park and was immediately greeted by warnings to pay for your parking, which i did, £5.80, only to find out you dont need to pay, which wasnt explained on signage or by the hotel. Went to reception to check in and was told 3.10pm, it was around 2pm when we arrived. Finally got checked in around 2.30pm. Given keycard to the room number 8. The room hasn't been refurbished, unlike other rooms and looked like it was recently broken into, there is a new door with huge gaps around the frame, the bedroom was horrendously smelly, lampshades were siliconed and nailed to the wall, the tv had no aerial cable so was no use at all, the bathroom door had been opened so vigorously it had pushed the rubber stopper into the wall. There is also a vintage bathroom heater on the wall, the ceiling joint was falling down, behind the dressing table, was filthy and never been cleaned. The dressing table was also damaged yet when we checked in we had to pay £30 deposit for damages...what a joke. We complained to the receptionist and showed her the pictures, which she was horrified by. She said she's going to call her manager. The following morning the manager told the receptionist to offer us a free stay next time, trust me I will not be visiting there again. The rooms should be priced according whether they have been refurbished or not but I paid the same as someone else staying in a nice room.
