The pictures are not what they seem. A double bed is more like a single and a half, very springy couldnt sleep, there was one hanger and small rail for clothes and no iron, the fan had not enough power. Upgrade was £160 which is ridiculous. Eating area table has crumbs not wiped down at all. Staff are pleasant however. Free parking

For the £ very pleased, it’s a beautiful old building but with that high maintenance, and building looks tired in places. But clean, staff friendly, free accessible parking was kindly given an upgrade as booked wrong room, very quiet. I would use again as a quick overnight stay around work.

The hotel was fine but very tired and basic. Fine for an overnight. Breakfast was offer for 15 and over priced. It was again fine, but no coffee or hot water was available. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Bit of an odd mix. Fine for an overnight stay or airport stop off but I’d not recommend the breakfast purely based on cost.

On arrival was meet with a smile and asked how we were and once checked in was shown to our room and said if we needed anything not to hesitate to ask , The room was very spacious and clean , we didn`t eat there on this occasion but what we could smell coming from the dinning room was amazing . Would happily stay there again .

The room was a bit tatty, needs updating and decorating, carpet was stained but clean, large comfortable bed and fridge in room, which was useful. The staff were very helpful, showing me to my room and completing the parking online form to register my car for the carpark. Its a pity the new owners no longer allow dogs in the hotel. I would return if they reviewed their policy.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. The room was comfortable in all respects and the cooked buffet breakfast enjoyable. We were late arriving, as advised beforehand, and were more than happy with the way we were received. I do not aways write reviews but this one was well deserved.
