Alex and Sav were great hosts. They are a lovely friendly couple who made us feel so welcome. Their hospitality was second to none!

Staff and food were good, the room was run down and needs refreshing. The two single beds in the room were so low down it was like sleeping on a mattress on the floor. As my room was above the pub it was a little noisy until 11.30pm. The next morning it was noisy again from about 5.30am with cars stopping at the front of the hotel bang their car doors as they were visiting a shop two doors down. I used this hotel as I wanted to be close by to the office and get an early start, unfortunately breakfast didn’t start until 8am and with being awake from 5.30am decided to give breakfast a miss. Would I stay here again probably not, but on a personal note the staff couldn’t have been any friendlier

Great stay
The Dixie Arms was selected for the night due to its proximity to a wedding we were attending. We struck lucky. We were given early access to our rooms for changing for the wedding. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a good sized en-suite. The only negative comment would be road noise but this did not stop us from sleeping! Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful and our breakfast was exellent.

Staff were friendly and quick to serve. Had one complaint which was sorted out the next day. All in all an enjoyable stay and if im in the area again I'll be booking into the Dixie Arms.

On check in not overly friendly staff member stairway to room very tatty and underwhelming room lovely and big,bed great bathroom not very clean dirty toilet as in poo round sides long black hair on the floor no shelves in shower husband nearly fell bending down for shower gel. Breakfast ok apart from underdone poached eggs(ie:- snotty) weird also to have lettuce under hot toast, tea and coffee ok. Overall needs a lot of TLC . Sorry but won't be coming back, shame as the b/fast lady was lovely.
