10/10 Excellent
"Hotel Bethlehem should be on your ‘stay at’ list if it isn’t already. The history and elegance are abundant and almost palpable throughout the property. My partner and I really enjoyed walking around the grounds, reading the placards and discussing which building used to live where. Caveat to the walk: we both mentioned the next day how comfortable and SAFE we felt after dinner, walking around a big city, same-sex couple, at 10+PM. **I find that remarkable and important to note**. The food was great, the drinks were fabulous and the room was clean, comfy & cozy. Things to keep in mind/some suggestions - If the website won’t let you make a reservation (I had tech issues), you must call and do so. You can’t use the chat function to book. - Make sure you do make a reservation- we almost didn’t but did (via calling) moments before we checked in and happy we did- it was packed. - Have lunch or dinner in the 1741 Terrace! We did not and regretted it the moment we learned all breakfasts are in the Tap Room. We only stayed the night so we missed the chance to dine in the Terrace. - ^caveat to breakfast- there IS a buffet style breakfast, but not until later in the AM. We learned this after ordering items from the Tap Room and saw a neighboring table order drinks, disappear and return with varieties of breakfast items from one of the banquet halls. **I am unsure if the buffet runs weekly or just on weekends. Highly recommend, plan to return and explore properly. Thank you, HB!"
