"Upon arrival, we were greeted by our host, Bobby; there was no complex check-in procedure- just led down to the cabin by the host who helped us unload and carry items into cabin. Bobby went over the operation of all items in the cabin, including a bottle of cold sparkling wine in the refrigerator- a very nice touch! The bed was relatively new, supportive and comfortable with a variety of pillows to choose from and plenty of coverings. The hot tub was clean and ready for use with towels provided. The bathroom and kitchen were modern and fully functional with plenty of hot water. Bath towels were fluffy and thick. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses, cups, pots and pans, utensils, etc. There was plenty of wood for the fire pit. Lots of kayaks, seats, PFDs and paddles available and close to water. In summary, Tamarac Cabin was very clean upon arrival and Bobby, the host was friendly and easy to work with; we would definitely stay hear again, hopefully for a longer stay. We would give this property a 10/10 rating! Thanks Bobby!"

"This house has plenty of space for a couple of families. It is right off a paved road, not far from downtown Saranac Lake. The location is quiet and secluded with trees surrounding. The water is around 8 feet deep off the end of the dock, great for swimming or launching canoes or kayaks. You can see the sunset from the dock. There was firewood provided for the outdoor fire pit or the fireplace in the living room. The host, Alan, is very communicative. Would stay again."

"This was our second time renting with Mary and Kevin. They are very friendly and helpful with things to do and see around Saranac Lake. We didn't spend time in the village as our activities included kayaking, hiking and birding, but there is a binder with recommendations and location information. The property is easy check in and has that warm home feeling. On a rainy day, play a board game or find an interesting read or just jump into your favorite streaming app on the large screen TV. Make sure to read the posted notes for quick answer on day-to-day housing questions."

"Saranac is almost a 2nd home to us. The town and people are great. The same goes for the accommodation. The location is steps away from the main street and local attractions. The rooms are a good size and a restful place to hang out after a busy day. Also, the simple additional touches in the kitchen with food plastic bags, tin foil and condiments make life just a bit easier when you are away. Thanks for a great stay."

"This house is a beautiful lake/mountain retreat. We were here to visit relatives near by and it was a great central location to meet up. The house is super cozy and the outside area was perfect to walk our little dogs around. Amazing spot and would definitely recommend!"
