Was not sure what to expect, this place was a little different from what we usually stay at. It was wonderful, clean, plenty of parking, walking distance to restaurants, bar, shops. Love the history of the Inn. Would definitely stay again

Wow, what a wonderful, historic, and afordable lodging! The house and property are beautiful. I paid extra for a private bathroom in my clean, comfortable, and cozy room. The innkeeper William was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. He explained to me that the young deer I saw chilling out in the back yard is named Stella and that she was born on the property. Parking was plentiful and downtown was within walking distance. I only stayed one night and did not come into contact with any other guests. The house was very quiet.

This hotel is a unusual mix of hotel, hostel, dorm, and B&B. It has some nice homey touches, is well maintained, and quiet. It emphasizes shared spaces over individual ones, so if you aren't keen on a shared bathroom, this is not the place for you. I can't really rate the staff or service since I saw literally no one in the two nights we stayed. I was happy with the stay and I definitely would stay again.

We’ve stayed here 3 times now and it is definitely our go to place to stay in Saranac Lake. Close to downtown, great price, clean, cozy, and comfortable! Highly recommend if you’re just looking for a place in the area.

Very cool old historic building. Great atmosphere. Nothing fancy but nice. Very helpfull, for example they stored my bicycle in the garage as it was raining. I had no problem with the shared bathroom/shower as they were always empty. A short walk/bike ride from the Adirondack rail trail.

We showered and put our towels in basket as asked. Next day we returned to house after the wedding and the towels were not replaced in our room so we couldn't shower. There was no direction provided on how to receive new towels. I just assumed they checked our room and would have replaced the towels. Over all I would stay again. It was a good place to stay and very quiet place

Please be aware. This 122 year old facility has a community/shared bathroom, not a bathroom in each room as typical in today's hotels. This means you may have to wait for another guest to finish in the bathroom before you get your turn. Carpets need replacement. Some renovations are in progress. Rooms are clean, but small. Staff was accommodating. Parking was fine.

Wonderful old building that has had many previous uses, and now rents out guest rooms at a very affordable rate. Well maintained, and the owner lives on-site and is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend as a great alternative to more expensive chain hotel or resort rooms.

A charming place to stay! Very clean and comfortable. A quiet neighborhood, but close to things to do in Saranac Lake. Very friendly and helpful staff. John went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!
