My wife and I stayed at Maggie's Farm for 8 nights and what a wonderful place it is. The location was perfect for us- out in solitude of this beautiful part of the country but only 30 minutes from the Parkway, Brevard and the Pisqua National Forrest. A little furthur to Hendersonville and Waynesville.
So about the Farm -
Squeaky clean, nice comfortable sleeping and living area and fully equipped Kitchen and baths. Wifi, TV and Board games. A great wrap around deck with views of the Hills and next to the beautiflul creek flowing.
The Grounds are lovely with flowers and Vegetable Gardens, a trout pond full of nice big and hungry Rainbow Trout, walking areas and places to sit and take in the good life and "get away" from the stress and pace of city life.
But what puts it all together and sets this place above other Vacation Rentals are the Host - Mark and Jacquie. If you were thinking of owning a vacation rental you would want to model these Super Hosts! They respond lightning fast to questions, inquiries or the like. They greeted us with a basket of fresh Vegetables, showed us a few thing about the cabin and immediately made us feel at home while respecting our privacy. Great tips on off the beaten path trails, views, waterfalls, etc. Mark gave me some pointers on catching a trout and even brought me some cheese (yes cheese!) for bait. After I caught a nice one, plenty for dinner, he showed me an area to clean and filet the trout. I had to cook it myself :(. Next day he provided me with some equipment to pan for gemstones and I actully found a nice size garnet but came down with "gold feaver". While I looked for treasures my wife visited Jacquie's Studio where she purchased some beautiful Sterling creations hand crafted be Jacquie.
So there are plenty of things I could say but I will save them for our next review as be booked the cabin for another week in October!! See you then Friends, Wayne & Andrea
