「Staff exceptional, clean room and spacious 」

「We stayed at this beautiful space overnight on our way home and felt warmly welcomed. The place is relatively new and well equipped and tucked away in the town. Our host was wonderful and breakfast was delicious and filling. The supermarket is very close and easy to walk to restaurants and pastry shops nearby. Close to several wineries and we visited the Stilianou winery which was lovely(lots of narrow roads to get there though, as per usual rural Crete). We had a restful sleep and very close...

「Evva was really friendly and helpful, and our accommodation was spacious and comfortable. We didn't like the fact that the shower was handheld only. Also, the villa is located at the stop of a very steep hill, so although the town enter is not far away, it's not the easiest walk.」

Das Wasser war für die Jahreszeit (Oktober) zu kalt zum Baden. Aber laut Betreiber sollen nächstes Jahr ein Teil der Pools mit Wärmepumpen ausgestattet werden. 「クレタ島では海岸沿いのホテルに泊まる旅行者が多いと思いますが、喧騒を避け静かに過ごしたい人にオススメのホテルです。イラクリオンからは車で２５分くらい。島の真ん中あたりにあります。車がないと不便なのでレンタカーをかりることをオススメします。車があれば観光も問題ありません。このホテルの良いところは、まずロケーション。山の上の方にあるため眺めがすごく良いです。そしてレストラン(タベルナ)。料理がめちゃくちゃ美味しくて、安い。地元の人たちも多く食べに来ていました。またホテルのオーナーのおじさんが親切で優しいです。ホテルに帰るたびに優しく声をかけてくれ迎えてくれました。のんびりと自然の中で過ごしたい人にオススメのホテルです。」

「Stunning property in a newly restored old house. Beautiful, spacious and well-appointed room. The common areas were comfortable and there was a lovely balcony. The breakfast which was beautifully served on the balcony was beyond compare. Local, fresh, and delicious Cretan treats. Archanes is close to Heraklion and the palace of Knossos and had plenty of dining options. We were in Greece for three weeks and our night at Carpe Diem was probably our best stay. Can’t recommend highly enough. 」

「The house was a lovely old Cretan house renovated to a high standard, and Popi was a wonderful, helpful, and knowledgeable host - really friendly and full of suggestions of where to go next. You will need to have a car to get around as it is not at all central, and do not expect a modern building - but it was full of character and the aircon worked very well, so in my eyes it was perfect! I would happily stay here again, and hope to do so some day in the coming years.」
