"Perla del Sole is a small, friendly B&B, though with a hotel-style reception, in the resort of Arenella, 8km from Syracuse. The hotel manager (who spoke excellent English) greeted us warmly and provided plenty of helpful information, such as maps, local restaurants, transport information, etc. The rooms were comfortable with all the essentials, including air conditioning (definitely needed at night, as it stays hot after sundown in Sicily) and free wi-fi, and were well cleaned daily. "We, family of 6 of which 2 children had a great time in the villa with excellent swimming pool. Our host Ivan welcomed us on arrival gave detailed explanation of the possibilities in the area. "Wonderful location. House very clean and comfortable. We were in Sicily in January and we preferred to spend a few days in Syracuse. Pleased to have chosen Villa Carmela also exploiting the beautiful space in the garden. Beautiful walks on the beach, we have also reached on foot.
