"Wonderful location. House very clean and comfortable. We were in Sicily in January and we preferred to spend a few days in Syracuse. Pleased to have chosen Villa Carmela also exploiting the beautiful space in the garden. Beautiful walks on the beach, we have also reached on foot. Every morning we had breakfast in the garden, since the weather was beautiful (luck in January !!). Thanks for the welcome, we hope peter have another chance in the future to come back to Syracuse."

"It was a very nice location. Property had anti-noise windows so it was quiet inside despite is in a main area. Room is big enough to feel confortable, nice bathroom. Balcony. "

"Host, Salvos, was a real asset. We had a dreadful start to our holiday with a five hour flight delay and as a result our car hire vehicles were rented out to others. Salvos helped us - a party of eight - get to the villa. Nothing was too much trouble. He loaned us his car so we could do a supermarket shop. He was the perfect host. "Excellent customer service. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The upgrade with the four poster bed and side balcony with sea view was very much appreciated. Thank you. The breakfast was amazing. It exceeded our expectations. So much choice. It included lots of local specialities and Sicilian treats. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return."

"Fantastic!! We had such a wonderful time the two nights we stayed at Hotel Scala and wish we stayed longer! We arrived our first night very late and were ravenous from our travels that day, the staff offered us dinner right after we got settled in at the restaurant on the property. We got wine and the spaghetti vongole, which was delicious. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cold which was lovely to come back to at the end of the day. The two men who ran the place were extremely helpful in giving directions to the Main town Ortigia as well as helping us with anything we needed! Lovely place & lovely people! The only thing we wish was different was the location being closer to the main town, other than that it was great! "
