We were first time travelers to Japan with very little Japanese comprehension and the staff were able to communicate well in English. "The walls are paper-thin, you can hear neighbor's TV. There is a smell of mold in the room. The shared bath was not clean. The futons are very thin as well. "Loved staying at Onn. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and the only one with a balcony. Much recommended if available. Unlike the email you receive when you book that staff does not speak English: they do! And they are super friendly. Only thing a little odd is that house keeping is every four days. However towels and bins are changed daily if left outside the room. The hotel is right on the Nagasendo trail. Can definitely see us stay here again."
