It's a room had no towels at all! There were no trash cans. Light bulbs were burnt out, The coffee cups were two sizes too large to fit under the coffee maker, the telephone did not work. We call down to the desk three times and got hung up on each time. How do I get a refund for my room?

The staff was accommodating to the best of there abilities, but the place unfortunately is going down. Called ahead to make sure jacuzzi and pool working , for the kids and adults to be able to relax and enjoy . Of course chlorine did not come in, so down for gosh darn who knows how long , heat not working in room , finally warmed up @ 3am in morning . Remote did not work , they had no batteries , so staff gave us there universal remote for the evening . No washcloths , or enough towels but we waited and they washed for us . Only 6 cars in whole parking lot ! Window had mold around the room , and bottom of back door . Green wet thick mold, at that . Checked out by 8 am and got good room at Caterbury . Shilo should not be booking rooms until they get that place cleaned up

5/5 Stars, will definitely be returning here. Only oddity was the room was listed as “ocean view” but turned out it’s blocked by a hedge so no view from the room but it was a rainy day so minor detail.

Roof was leaking into hotel room in multiple places. Asked for a refund and was told the best they could do is a discount. Had to change rooms twice after that due to door locks not working.

The heater was not working, so we had to move to another room. That room did not have a king bed. They did get the heater to work and moved back to the old room. The balcony is full of mold and green slim.

The Shilo is an icon at Ocean Shores and we have stayed there recently knowing it is older and needing updates. The ocean front rooms are epic and it’s worth it for us to stay there to get this view. The staff are very welcoming and available. They also allow pets which is convenient when we bring our dog. Will stay again.

Staff not helpful except for repair man.rooms not stocked, could've reach front desk, ask woman how i could get ahold of her because i tried using room phone and never got an answer, when I went downstairs again she said I don't know. Door going to deck wouldn't stay closed it was opn all night on friday. Finally figured out we had to use dead bolt to keep it closed. We had 1 washcloth for 2 people, one glass no coffee cups had to go down and get some.power went out Saturday night, no one came around and offered flashlights. Couldn't leave because elevator wasnt working. My sister and i are in our late 70's there was no way we could have gotten all of our luggage down 4 floors. It was the worst hotel experience my sister and i ever had. I will be sure to let everyone know about this place. Restaurants and lounge have been closed since covid but it is still advertised.

Tok was clean but over all everything feels very old. There were no cups and one glass in the room for water and coffee. Nothing to stir coffee with. Temperature was set to 85° in room. Ocean is a long way away so you can't really see it even though we had a balcony. Fire place barely worked and looked so fake.. very old. Front doors were super hard to open into lobby, especially when pulling a suitcase. The place was empty. Restaurant closed permanently. Odd smell in lobby and room.

I have been taking my family here for over 20 years. This is the first time that I was disgusted with the place. The toilet was clogged. The room was still dirty. They had not cleaned the rooms properly. There was still a used bar of soap in shower. The carpet looked like it had mot been vacuumed. My child had to use a cup and it was dirty.

Hotel was dirty and understaffed. We only had 2 wash cloths for a 3 night stay. They were out the whole time. We had to use hand towels as wash cloths.The front doors were rusted open, all the way. They would not close. The staff were very sweet, and did what they could do. They were very apologetic. It wasnt their fault. Our bathroom door needed a good washing on both sides. They needed to vaccume the hard to reach places. The carpet was full of stains. The tv in the dining/couch area was broken. The whole room stunk.

Upon checking in at the Shilo Inn we were greeted by a front desk employee, and she asked if we were checking in and we said yes, she then proceeded to tell us that the room that we booked had been rented out and that they did not return the keys, so they had to put us in another room which was not what we asked for, but we took it. She finally told us that the restaurant was permanently closed. The hotel itself is run down and not clean at all. Our room was very dirty especially the carpet we did not walk around without shoes or flip flops. The bathroom shower was messed up and my husband had to fiddle with it just to get the shower to come on and although we had an ocean view from our room, we could not enjoy it as the windows were dirty and moldy, and the deck and deck chairs were so dirty that that we could not sit outside which was a shame because the weather was beautiful. We had intended to use the pool and hot tub, but it was not kept up at all and looked very dirty, and we saw potato bugs crawling around. Let's just say that the pictures and description of this property were very deceiving on the website. Talk about false advertisement!! We were not surprised that there were very few cars in the parking lot. We decided to make the best of it since this trip was to celebrate our 50th anniversary and we wanted to take a short trip and drove 3 hours to get there. We stayed out of the room all day and only slept there. I wish we could get a full refund!! Kim Gearon

This was the filthiest hotel and room I ever stayed in. It’s very rundown. We rented it because they had a hot tub and My Husband has a bad back. The hot tub was closed for repairs.It kind of feels like no one‘s even trying to make it look nice, Our room was very cute but when we walked in the first thing we noticed was dirt all over the floor. We walked downstairs immediately and asked for a recleaning. But even after the recleaning. There was still dirt and hair all over the floor.. the next morning there was a coffee pot in the room, but no coffee or cups. We asked the lobby if there was coffee in the lobby and there was none.. staff didn’t seem to be concerned that we were filling uncomfortable.
Dirt visible at first site. Didn’t have to go looking for it.

No restaurant or bar since Covid. Fireplaces do not work and are electric. No towels or cups in the suite. Staff was very nice and knowledgeable of the area.
