Top Portsmouth Hotel Reviews
The Pell - Part of JdV by Hyatt
10/10 Excellent
"5/5 — Would absolutely stay again. We stayed at The Pell while attending a wedding at Rosecliff, and it ended up being a great home base just outside Newport. The room was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean, and the bathroom was especially great for getting ready for a wedding. The entire property felt welcoming, parking was plentiful, and the staff across the board were genuinely kind and helpful. They all deserve a raise. A special shoutout to Nicholas, who was exceptionally helpful from check-in onward. He seemed to have an answer for every question we had and gave us great recommendations for restaurants, things to do, and places to check out nearby. He even recommended a café that was so good I’m honestly tempted to gatekeep it. Breakfast was excellent and the service was great. The living room/common area is spacious and was a really comfortable place to get some work done, and the pool area was relaxing with plenty of sun. The only thing worth noting is that there are no elevators, so you’ll be taking the stairs. An elevator would be nice, but I suppose so is cardiovascular health. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend The Pell to anyone visiting Newport."

"No thanks"
Newport Harbor Island Resort
10/10 Excellent
"The outdoor pool was great. We also used the small game room however wish there were some more toy/games for the kids. Most were missing parts and all over the shelves. Pinball machine and basketball were good entertainment. Overall food and drinks were great and staff was friendly. We stayed two night and loved the location and ability to either use the water taxi or shuttle for down town. Family friendly with kids club."
Hotel Viking

"Great location and nicely renovated"
Wyndham Newport Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Wyndham Newport is great. The hotel was super clean in all aspects. We enjoyed the restaurant, pool and shuttle. Rooms are nice and bed very comfortable. The only drawback is that there aren’t any dresser drawers for clothes. This was our 2nd time staying here and would definitely recommend this hotel."
