Historic hotel was an excellent choice for a 3 night holiday. Loved the outdoor swimming pool which was very warmby the lake. Also very nice to test out the lake swimming pool next to it to get an idea of actual temperature. Breakfast was superb especially the made to order omelettes, fried eggs, real honeycomb and different assortment of breads including especially delicious cheese rolls. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive. A daily Rossl Post kept you informed of events in the coming 24 hours. We took the Schafberg cog railway up to the top of the mountains which was expensive but well worth it. Book ahead if you know it will be a sunny and clear day as it was incredible. Make sure you take good shoes with grip and go right to the top. The room of hotel was incredible and the view out on to the lake was breathtaking. Staff on reception were very attentive to your needs and when we turned up at hotel we were greeted with glass of prosecco. A nice touch! If the bank balance can take it, I shall definitely be heading back!

The guy who checked us in Szlotan was not helpful and when I came back down to mention there was no bottled water as promised - he said there should be complimentary water on the tables - i said there is none - he said in Germany you can drink from the taps - the lady at checkout was very helpful and apologized on his behalf but we were now checking out. Overall property was average for rate paid and service was not great.

Very friendly staff and I had a wonderful stay. Would highly recommend any of their properties. Not as luxe as the sister hotel but sufficient for my needs. Clean & simple. Lovely restaurant attached with outdoor patio.

The hotel itself is beautiful and very conveniently located. Parking was easy. Breakfast was plentiful, but not catered to those looking for halal options. However, the staff appeared a bit cold — not sure it was due to cultural or language differences. The room had only one twin blanket with a duvet cover. The AC in our room would not cool and the room became uncomfortable to sleep at night. I called the reception to ask for help, but nobody answered the phone. Eventually, I sent an email to the hotel which went unanswered. The next morning, I informed the receptionist about the issues, and she said that she was already aware of them from my email. I had to go back to the reception again in the afternoon to ask for a blanket. I wish the service was better. The water supply in the bathroom also acted strangely. It would randomly swing between hot and cold while taking a shower. Overall, it was a mixed experience.

Beautiful property. Great location. The pool is a lovely amenity. Easy to get to town with the tickets they provide for the lift at the Modern Art Museum.
