This hotel is a “home style” accommodation. Breakfast and dinner is buffet style, bus your own table, dinners were very basic and simple meals..soup,paste,bread,salad. In 5 days , our room was never cleaned. We got our own towels off a cart that was left in the hallway. The best amenity was at teatime, excellent cake and tea..all self serve.

This hotel is excellent, you will not regret staying here

The property is a bit worn down but that’s the charm of it. Breakfast was outstanding. The property is right outside the fish market which is a bustling area but read reviews about whether the place you chose to eat out is worth it. There is a wonderful bar/music venue down the street named Felix. Might not play during the summer. They served awesome food. Bus stop and tram are very close to the hotel.

The location was great for getting on the train to Oslo early this morning. But the carpet and upholstery were stained (and older) and the door lock was difficult. The noise was bothersome 1) street cars (not great insulation, older hotel) 2) A repetitive thumping we believe was from exercise facility from 10:30 PM woke us up 3 Loud young adults returned to hotel from a night on the town, keeping us up until 1:30 AM Management quieted them after we complained.
