It was understaffed. We were there 4 nights and got no towel change until we called front desk and learned you have to call front desk to get one. I said there’s no notice in room to that effect. They said they just changed the policy that day—a rather obvious lie. No help with luggage. Every response to whether something could be fixed, eg super noisy toilet? Like a jack hammer, was oh it’s a more than 100 year old building. But they’ll look into it—we saved that one for check out because we figured they’d do nothing anyway.
It does have funky charm, art deco style, period movie star photo art. So if you have no needs, don’t care about them not coming into to refresh your coffee station even though you put the “lights, camera, action” tag on your door, and don’t mind a $900 bill for the room, which included daily garage parking and 4 breakfasts for 1, then you’ll be happy staying there. They did leave small apples out at a tea/coffee station in the lobby. So that’s something you get. One or two staff members were nice and tried to be helpful but were outnumbered by those who thought no help was the perfect norm. To be accurate when we arrived and our room was very cold, we got a portable heater and we did get new towels (and a sheet change) after 2 nights because we called front desk. Forgot to mentioned large noisy blower outside one window (which never stopped despite staff claim to contrary) and industrial view out other.

The game room was a nice feature. Who doesn't love retro video arcade games?
