I’d stay again

Slightly underwhelmed with the hotel. Would advise sing more on par with a low 3 star hotel not the 4 advertised. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cleaning was sufficient and frequent. Biggest disappointment was the standard of room. Very small narrow room, small tv with only one English Channel (Sky News). Bathroom not the greatest and low pressure hot water. Air con worked but often blew in cigarette smoke so had to keep turned off. Very noisy rooms with paper thin walls. Regularly woken up in the early hours to roudy drunken guests. On the whole adequate if visiting the city and not planning on spending any time in the hotel other than sleeping. Great location wise but if like us you want a siesta or some down time in the room, this hotel is not really for you. To reiterate, staff really friendly and the highlight of the stay.

Excellent in all areas

Wonderful hotel. Great staff. All the people there were amazing. But get used to a subway running underneath the hotel daily until midnight. You will hear it and feel the vibrations. You get sort of used to it after a few days, but it definitely impacted my sleep. Breakfast each day was fantastic. The old wood work and the hotel itself is worth the stay. Even with the subway issue, we would probably stay there again. If for nothing else the wonderful staff.

The only thing good about the hotel was how close it was to La Sagrada Familia. When we checked into the hotel the receptionist had a flat affect and didn't explain the 2 documents we had to sign or explain anything about the hotel. The room had no air conditioning, mini fridge did not make the beverages cold, and there were bugs inside the bathroom. Also we could hear everything that was happening outside and inside the hotel. I would not stay at this hotel again in the future.

The room was small but functional - okay for one person but might have been tight for 2, with little privacy in the bathroom. The terrace was incredible - really liked it. Could have done with a few basic things like glasses/cups. Great location
